Cell Characters for GIBCO

Just wrapped a really enjoyable character design gig for GIBCO, the cell culture brand from Thermo Fisher Scientific. The ask was to turn cells into appealing characters that could carry a bunch of their media without getting too cartoony for a science audience.

We went through a few rounds of concept exploration before landing on the final look. The trick was keeping enough of the actual cell biology in there that the scientists would be happy, while still giving them eyes and a little personality.
